“12 Days Of Indie” To Benefit Toys For Tots Holiday Charity
From December 1st through the 12th, indie game fans, streamers, and developers are partaking in the first annual 12 Days of Indie charity stream.
Hosted by AmbushedGamer, the charity stream is set to include a number of streamers, all joining forces to raise money for the Toys For Totscharity.
“Most independent game developers and supporters have limited funds but huge hearts,” AmbushedGamer writes in. Many of us grew up in households considered below the poverty level. Personally, we at Ambushed Gamer know how it feels to be that child, and want to give back to our community.”
“In addition, we wanted a nationally recognized charity, with an excellent reputation. Toys for Tots rates 3/4 Stars on the site Charity Navigator, the fact that Toys for Tots has a low administrative cost, we decided Toys for Tots would be an ideal candidate for our 1st Annual 12 Days of Indie.”
With a set goal of raising $12,000, Ambushed Gamer is looking for streamers interested in volunteering their time to the charity event. Those interested can check out the Streamer information page, for specific details.
Those interested in following the event can do so by following @12DaysofIndieon Twitter, and monitoring the hashtags #12DaysOfIndie and #12DoI.
