‘Minecraft’ and ‘Lili’ Lead the iPhone 5 Launch Lineup
Have you got your iPhone 5 yet?
Have you got your iPhone 5 yet? Looking for something fancy to play on the new hardware? There’s a number of games that are already primed and ready for the big iPhone 5 launch, but let’s have a closer look at a few in particular.
Leading the way is Minecraft – Pocket Edition , which has been optimised for the new large screen size of the device. The 0.4.0 update, which we mentioned not too long ago, has been given a second revision in time for the iPhone 5 debut, with update screen resolutions for the bigger screen.
Lili , as mentioned previously, is a brand new game set to go along side the iPhone 5 and specifically the new iPod Touch design. There’s plenty to like about the game and its protagonist, and with an experienced team full of former Epic Games developers and artists, you can be sure it will hit the right spot.
If Temple Run hasn’t caught your attention yet, the game that started the new ‘running away from things’ craze has been updated for the iPhone 5 too. Social sharing features are included, allowing you to post to Facebook and Twitter within the game itself. As always, Temple Run is free to play.
Retro inspired tower builder Tiny Tower has been upgraded to fit the new screen, along with the updated sharing options. The new screen size will come in handy especially here, what with so many levels of your tower to scroll through.
There’s plenty more to choose from, such as Illusion Labs’ Touchgrind BMX , Blast-a-Way , Agent Dash and village builder Happy Street . Remember, if you want to play these games on your older iPhone, you’ll need to upgrade to iOS6, though some features may not be included or supported on the older hardware. We’ll have more on some of these and newer iPhone 5 supported releases over the coming weeks.
