Android Hunter A – Revolutionary Action Platforming
Android Hunter A is a 3-D action platformer being developed by DigiPlox , and hopes to build upon the success and nostalgia of games like Mega Man while bringing something new to the table.
while bringing something new to the table. Specifically, they’re looking at smoother motion, better graphics, and an upgrade to the controls and handling that those of us who grew up on arcades know and love. It’s a classic tale of warring factions, one that wishes to control the world, and the other trying to stop them at all costs.
Thanks to the discovery of a substance called the Base Metal, a wedge has been driven between humanity and the co-existing androids. With Base Metal, the androids can become stronger and eventually take over the world, eliminating the humans to create a utopia for themselves. Playing as “A,” you must face the android forces with The United Rebellion to stop The Android Force (headed by Cipher), and reclaim that which has been taken from humanity. There are 8 bosses to defeat, and you can earn upgrades along the way to make yourself a more formidable opponent. When Base Metal is collected by A, it can be used to create new armor, as well, lending a much-needed edge. The gameplay mechanics strive to be intuitive to create as fun a gaming experience as possible.
With 27 days to go on their Kickstarter campaign, and a base goal of $150,000, Android Hunter A has already raised $5,122 as of the writing of this article. Game-related reward tiers begin at $15 with a digital copy of the game for either Windows or Mac, a digital game guide, and a wallpaper of your choice in size. The maximum reward tier is $5,000 for an all-expenses-paid trip to the DigiPlox headquarters for a week, to hang out with the developers (this also includes all previous tiers).
