Numolition Attacks With Explosive Math Puzzles

For those who wish Candy Crush Saga, or even Tetris, were a little more… numeric (but not as boring as match class), mobile game studio Q42 has the solution: Numolition , an explosive puzzle game with a comic theme.

In Numolition , the player sides with demolitionists, visiting various construction sites and blowing them up. The game screen presents differing layouts of colored boxes with numbers on them. The goal is to eliminate all of them by blowing up identical numbers. To achieve that, the player slides the numbers to add them, combining the best chains possible until… Boom, the power of math devastates constructions.

Numolition features 50 levels, with over 120 bonus challenges. Even better, new game modes can be unlocked by collecting stars. There’s also a Facebook leaderboard to display scores between friends. The whole package is dressed up in a comic-book style, friendly for all ages.

The game was in development for a full year, before branching out from an earlier game called Quento . The predecessor was simpler, and geared toward more of an educational game experience. Numolition then evolved into an engaging art style with gameplay aiming to be fun, addictive, and educational as well.

Numolition is available currently for Android, iOS, Kindle, and Windows. Other platforms, like Blackberry, Steam, and the 3DS, are being considered.
