‘Bastion’ Developers Show Off ‘Transistor’ In New Reveal Trailer
Supergiant Games has revealed a teaser trailer for their latest project, Transistor .
. Described as a science-fiction action RPG, Transistor will be playable, in an early-build form, at PAX East (booth #892), later this month.
“We’re designing our next game to seamlessly integrate thoughtful strategic planning into a fast-paced action experience,” Supergiant Games explains within their announcement post, “complete with our studio’s signature melding of responsive gameplay and rich atmospheric storytelling.” The announcement goes on to state that the same team that developed Bastion is currently working on Transistor .
Contrary to Bastion , the protagonist in Transistor is a young woman, who wields a weapon of mighty, and mysterious, power. The woman apprehended the weapon after some assassins failed at trying to kill her with it, and now the employers of the assassins want the weapon back.
Supergiant Games expects Transistor to be out by early next year, and are still debating what platforms to release the game upon. They are urging curious fans with questions to reach out to them on their Twitterand Facebookprofiles, and of course at PAX East.
