World’s Fastest Pizza – Hotline Miami Meets Paperboy in Australia
Oscar Britain, a single indie game developer, is currently putting the finishing touches on his game World’s Fastest Pizza .
. The game is an interesting mashup of Hotline Miami ’s 2D, graphic 8-bit gameplay, with frantic obstacles inspired by Paperboy .
Players will control the Pizza Boy, who also happens to be the only employee of World’s Fastest Pizza. From there, players will have to navigate through the streets of Sydney, Australia to deliver each pizza in under 10 seconds. At the same time, players will have to avoid many obstacles and hazards, including rabid dingoes, great white sharks, and shotgun-wielding rednecks. If the pizza arrives late, it’s the Pizza Boy who will have to pay the bill. Just another day on the job for this Pizza Boy.
World’s Fastest Pizza will also include power-ups, providing a temporary advantage during this fast-paced and likely challenging game. These powers include Super-Speed, Bullet Time, and many more. There will also be a few rogue-like features within the game, providing players with only one life, and creating random areas for players to deliver pizza to.
World’s Fastest Pizza was recently shown during the IndiE3 event back in June. The game will be released on July 24th for PC, with plans being made for Mac and iOS versions. Look forward to a review of the game next week!
