Video: Roadtripping across Europe to make games with 11 other developers
The state of European indie game development is hard to pin down, in part because the region is home to a diverse array of people from different cultural backgrounds spread across a relatively small area.
The upside of being a European indie is that you can, if you like, visit a wide variety of other developers with relative ease. That's exactly what a pair of German game developers who call themselves "Major Bueno" did earlier this year, and at GDC Europe 2015 Marius Winter shared what he and his compatriot Benedikt Hummel learned from the experience.
On their seven-week road trip the pair visited 11 indie developers and made 11 indie games with them. They discovered new ways to make games, to remain happy and healthy while working in games, and to use games to connect with other people. You can learn what they learned right now by watching the video of Winters' talk for free over on the official GDC YouTube channel .
