Mouse Corp Lets You Stay Up Late, Listen to Records, and Shoot People

Mouse Corp is another odd game from developer thecatamites , who you might know from games like Goblet Grotto , Murder Dog IV , and a couple of other strange titles that have a great sense of humor.

If you’ve played his games, you know you’re in for some interesting, weird, and funny stuff, and things are no different in Mouse Corp , which the developer explains as “… Seven Cities of Gold in the universe of Sonic The Hedgehog , but in 3d as well…”

You can pretty much do whatever you like as you explore Mouse Corp . Really, looking around and finding things or interacting with them is the main thrust of the game. If you feel like poking around for secrets and new dimensions, that’s open to you. You can also do much simpler things like listening to records (which will be nice since the music’s from Tom Whalen, aka NEW VADERS, who made the equally-strange soundtrack for Goblet Grotto ), collect berries, and take a nap. The latter sounds like it will appeal to the closet Animal Crossing fanatic in me. Then again, if all of this bores you, you can just go out and shoot someone instead. I don’t know how much the locals will like your company after you do that, though. (Do these mice have a formal justice system?)

Mouse Corp is pay-what-you-want, so you can still get it for free like many of thecatamites’ older games, or you can make a donation to the creation of future strange worlds if you like. I already owe the developer some money for all the time I spent trying to figure out how not to die while playing Goblet Grotto .
