Drive Till You Die In Pako

I once worked in the only store opened in an abandon mall.

I once worked in the only store opened in an abandon mall. I stared at the depressing vacant parking lot on my break one day, and then I had an epiphany – it occurred to me I had never done donuts in my Saturn station wagon, and here I was looking at an inexcusable opportunity to do so. Tree Men Games’ title Pako, is the closest I’ll get to ever reliving this liberating experience again.

Pako is simple – drive around as long as you can without hitting anything. You’ll have to avoid the police cars that will be chasing you, as well as tanks shooting bullets at you. (Where does this take place, again?) The only controls are to steer the car right and left. That’s it.

Pako can be compared to games like Flappy Bird or Retry , but Pako does what these games do with a better sense of self awareness and artistic design. Where Flappy Bird looks and feels cheap, Pako ’s creative geometric visuals and diverse levels set the game apart from other “high score hunt” games. There are five levels, all featuring different environments and obstacles ranging from a mall parking lot to a graveyard with zombies.

Pako was released on August 14th for iOS hereand for Windows phone here. You can stay up to date with the latest news and releases from Tree Man Games by following them on Twitterand liking the Pako Facebookpage.
