CD Projekt Red answers 20 questions about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Are you concerned about forgetting where you parked in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ?

? Have no fear: CD Projekt Red Community Managers Marcin Momot and Tadek Zielinski recently took to YouTube to answer 20 questions about the upcoming RPG, including what will happen if you lose your horse.

The answer to that one is actually pretty simple: You can't lose your horse. If you become separated from your steed, you need only whistle and he'll come running. He (or she, I suppose) will also have his/her own inventory space so you can offload your excess stuff, like all those potions you're saving for later that you'll never actually use.

Speaking of potions, the potion system is being overhauled again, and Geralt will be able to use them in combat this time around rather than needing to consume them in advance. Momot and Zielinski also explained that while the game takes place in an open world, enemies won't auto-scale, so while Geralt can travel wherever he wants, whenever he wants, he may well find himself in way over his head if he's not careful.

Perhaps most interesting, they also clarified that The Witcher 3 won't feature a branching story like that of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, which forced players to choose between two distinct narrative paths, leaving the other behind. "The whole Witcher world revolves around meaningful choices and their consequences, so without those it wouldn't be a Witcher game," Zielinski said. "That being said, we won't have branching stories like we did with The Witcher 2. We want players to experience the whole story, without exceptions."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is slated for release in February 2015.
