IGM Exclusive: Voyage Will Take You on a Trip to the Unknown

Imagine sailing the murky English waters in a little rowboat.

Imagine sailing the murky English waters in a little rowboat. As you explore the storm-addled sea, you find yourself in the midst of a flooded settlement. Armed with little more than a map, a compass, and a chest to keep hold important items, you investigate this lost city, gathering notes written by those who once lived there and slowly piecing together their fate. While they may not provide answers, IGM has some exclusive photos of the game that offer an idea of the lonely, dreary atmosphere.

Such is the premise behind Voyage , a forthcoming post-apocalyptic adventure game set in rural England. As the lone sailor in the eponymous rowboat, your task is to defy the rain and fog as you sail from one landmark to the next, doing your best to understand what has become of the vanished inhabitants of the flooded town. Is there life to be found here? Has anyone survived the flood? Who were, or are, these residents, and what has happened?

The game is currently in development, and is the brainchild of Linden Holt-Whittaker, a recent graduate of Norwich University and College of the Arts. The release date for Voyage is currently uncertain, but it will be playable on both PC and Mac, and the developer hopes to promote it via Steam Greenlight once more content is available. Keep an eye on the websitefor additional videos, screenshots, and other sneak peeks as they are created. IGM will be following the voyage of Voyage as well, so stay tuned right here for continued coverage.
