Survive a Crash Landing on a Hostile Planet in Sky Break

Crash-landed on an abandoned hostile planet named Arcadia, players in Sky Break will be up against the simple elements, and the wrath of drones turned against humans.

will be up against the simple elements, and the wrath of drones turned against humans. Under development by FarSky Interactive, the game is scheduled for an Early Access release on October 22.

The game essentially challenges the player to explore the planet, survive, and use resources to eventually reach the freedom of space. Arcadia’s own air is unbreathable, leaving players with a limited amount of oxygen while on the surface of the planet. Fortunately, an abandoned station exists above the clouds, providing a safe haven and a place to resupply the spacesuit protecting the player. Strenuous situations in Sky Break can cause the players oxygen levels to drain quickly. To counter this, it is possible to expand the suit’s oxygen capacity with upgrade chips found on certain rogue drones. Players are equipped with a sword to face these dangers, charging energy with each hit until they can deal extra damage with special moves. Other dangers, such as lightning storms or meteor showers, can occur at any given moment, and can only be faced with caution and shelter.

Sky Break will be released on Steam Early Accessfor PC, Mac, and Linux platforms at $14.99. The full version is planned for 2016, and is set to include new enemies, biomes with unique ecosystems, and expanded use of the spaceship. For more information, follow FarSky Interactive on Twitter.
