Bricks Will Have You Spinning

You spin me right round, baby, right round, like a… brick?

Bricks is designed to be one of those games which is deceptively simple to understand and maddeningly addictive as you try to master it. Old Atari 2600 gamers may remember games like Breakout! and Super Breakout , which utilized a basic ping-pong method of play. You batted a ball back and forth to smash your way through a barrier, trying to avoid dropping said ball.

Coming to iOS devices from German developers Alstertouch, Bricks takes this ageless formula and rotates it 360 degrees. Literally. The barrier to be broken in this game is circular, and in order to keep your projectile moving and hitting the desired targets, it will be necessary to rotate the device in your hand to achieve the correct angles.

Special bonus bricks will enable score multipliers, while shields can be utilized to keep your bouncy ball where it needs to be. The Apple Game Center’s leaderboards will let you challenge other players worldwide, but are you up to the challenge? As you progress through the levels, the difficulty will spike, making it harder to keep going.
