As the title of the article explains, UK developers Mode 7 will be adding a fancy cross-play mechanic to its upcoming iPad port of Frozen Synapse .

The portable version of the hit tactical defence game will allow players to access the game across both the Apple portable device and existing PC and Mac platforms, in a similar vein to Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PSVita system (if you want a comparison).

The first explains the new cross-play feature straight from the devs themselves, whilst the second gives you a closer look at the action from its original PC platform. Safe to say it’s a thinking man’s game, in that you can’t just go in all guns blazing. Well, yo could, but it probably wouldn’t end very well.

for iPad will launch on May 16th, with the promise of an Android edition in the not too distant future. No price has been announced as yet, though there’s the promise of a competitive value. We’ll have more on the game and it’s updated features very soon.
