Divide By Sheep Flings Itself onto Steam
The Grim Reaper wants friends.
The Grim Reaper wants friends. Unfortunately, anyone he meets must first be dead in order to befriend the. This leaves him in a bit of a pickle in Divide by Sheep , the math puzzler developed by Bread Team. Players must solve math problems while figuring out how to save a variety of animals; alternately, they must decide how to best placate death incarnate by offering up a few souls. Either way, some sheep are getting… divided.
In hopes of gaining some sheepy companions, the Grim Reaper unleashes a flood upon the world, and the remaining creatures are left clinging to small islands. Wolves, pigs, and yes, sheep, slowly drift about as their time runs out. Across 120 levels, players learn how to most efficiently deliver as many animals as they can to the rescue raft waiting at the end. Featuring plenty of dark humor, and a bit of gore, the developers warn that Divide by Sheep is likely not a game to be played without parental supervision. In addition to sheep being sliced in half by lasers, they are also eaten by wolves, flung into the water, and can even be reanimated, should two halves reach the end of the level. Getting the animals to safety is the goal, and it should be achieved by any means necessary…as long as they’re mathematically correct, anyway.
Divide by Sheep will be available starting July 2 for Steam and iOS devices. To find out more information and view additional media, follow publisher TinyBuild on Twitterand Facebook.
