Mushroom 11 is a post-apocalyptic action puzzle platformer along the lines of World of Goo , and will be available on iOS. Players control a large, pixelated blob, and must progress through the game by manipulating the substance in various ways. The blob must be pushed, split, squashed, shaped, and even sacrificed in the name of progress. Various obstacles and creatures are encountered along the way, as the player begins to discover through context clues how such a devastating apocalypse took place.
Mushroom 11 (a 2014 IGF Award nominee for Excellence in Design) has been previewed at SXSW, is currently being exhibited at GDC (booth #330, Expo, South Hall), and is slated for release later this year, though a precise date is still unknown. Gameplay footage can be viewed here.
