, which was released back in 2013. Developed by French developer Shiro Games, the game is filled with homages to different types of gameplay and graphical styles that change as the player progresses through the story.

Evoland 2 is primarily an adventure RPG that centers around the exploits of a hero, trying to protect his world while he is pulled through different timelines, directly affecting history itself. Graphics change from retro 8-bit sprites and backgrounds to more detailed 3D styles, and many in between. Each may feel familiar as they call on classic games like Legend of Zelda , Super Mario , and Final Fantasy . The gameplay shifts drastically as well, moving from top-down shooter, to puzzler, to fighting game. Evoland 2 is similar to its predecessor in many respects, but expands the original concept by introducing a wider variety of gaming history.
