Pinball video games have been around almost as long as pinball machines themselves have existed – okay, that’s a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea.

Pinball video games have been around almost as long as pinball machines themselves have existed – okay, that’s a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea.  Pinball itself has become so common, in fact, that 3D Pinball for Windows – Space Cadetcame pre-installed on all Windows systems for years. Unfortunately, since there’s not much new you can do with pinball, such games have slowly died out over the years.

PinWar, a new pinball game from the fine devs at Bulkypix, aims to change all of that. Rather than pitting yourself against the game itself, PinWar sets you against another player in a face-to-face battle for supremacy. Rather than competing for points, you need to take out your opponent as fast as possible while making sure no ball slips past your flippers. It’s been out on iOS for a while now, but now it’s come to Android too.

If pinball is your kind of game, PinWar has plenty to offer. Two players are able to play head-to-head on the same device (though you can always play against the AI if you can’t find anyone to play with).  There are scores of missions that you can face by yourself, or with a friend, and even an editor so you can create a table that suits you.
