Step into the World of Rememoried
Rememoried launched for PC and iOS on Steam in August.
in August. Developed by Vladimir Kudelka and published through Hangonit, the interactive adventure game puts players directly in control of a world where the ability to forget is the key to progressing forward.
The game opens up to a serene start menu with minimalistic controls and no information about the journey that lies ahead. Players are then thrust into a surreal virtual reality where memories and dreams blend to form the main mechanics of the first-person adventure. Some elements of the game change or disappear completely when a player turns away. Navigating the terrain is made to be tricky; players must use intuition to climb, fall, and fly their way through additional layers, or levels, of the game. Instinct and curiosity leads players deeper into the world.
Kudelka’s motivation for the design came directly from his dreams and “was inspired by fine art and video games like Dear Esther and Proteus .” The concept was first imagined during his university studies, where Kudelka wanted to “push the boundaries of the so-called walking-simulators,” by allowing players to directly take hold of past personal memories and dreams. Essentially, players have the ability to relive some of Kudelka’s most personal dreams while journeying through the surreal world.
