Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs Ride Again

Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs is making a comeback, in a sense.

is making a comeback, in a sense. Developer Team Saber Rider wants to give the 80’s anime property some love with a video game they feel it deserves: A 16-bit, 2-D shoot-em’up. The original series featured a space-western theme as Earth took to the stars and colonized, creating a New Frontier.

In order to maintain law and order on these settlements, the Calvary Command was created. The 4 main heroes in the command are Saber Rider, Fireball, April, and Colt, as well as a giant cowboy mech dubbed Ramrod. Together these heroes fight against the Outriders, a group of aliens who attacked and kidnapped settlers and destroyed their settlements. The leaders of the Outriders are Gattler the Rattler, Jesse Blue the traitor, and Nemesis.
