That was fast! Jordan Mechner’s new Karateka is already on sale for 99¢. If you don’t recall from our, that’s a couple bucks off the original launch price of $2.99. That’s quite a deal given that the game launched just a short month ago in December!

If you’re unfamiliar with the old or new Karateka , it’s a side scrolling karate classic that originally launched on systems such as the Apple II, Commodore 64, and even the NES.

Mecher is most known for creating Prince of Persia, which will make anyone turn their head, indie gamer or not. There’s no specific date set from when Karateka will return back to its normal price (a permanent price drop perhaps?), so it’s best you grab it while you can!
