Beat Detective – Test Your Tempo Skills Against Friends

Baba Blacksheep Games is in the process of finishing development for their game Beat Detective .

. The game tests a player’s inner tempo, and compares their answers against other friends online.

Beat Detective will use any song within your iTunes library and play a small snippet of that song. After the snippet ends, players must tap out the tempo for the song by memory. The game then compares the beats per minute (BPM) of the song with your answer, and records it.

Overall, the details of the game are fairly simple. Besides a background that changes color depending on the artwork of the current song, the design and layout of the game are as simple as the controls. Players simply need to tap on the touch screen in the tempo that they think the song was in.

It’s difficult to guess whether the game will seem easy or not, especially since it depends on the player’s library. However, Beat Detective promises a high amount of replayability if done well, since all that’s necessary is more music.

Baba Blacksheep Games will release Beat Detective on May 15 thfor iOS devices. Look forward to a review of the game on launch day!
