Naughty Dog shares a guided look at its Uncharted 4 production process

Sony published a brief video to its PlayStation YouTube channel today that aims to hype up the tech Naughty Dog is using to build Uncharted 4 by showcasing how the studio is animating, rendering and motion-capturing the game.

While the video (embedded above) is part of a marketing effort for the game, fellow developers may appreciate the quick glimpse it offers into how Naughty Dog is changing its production pipeline for its first (original) Uncharted game on PlayStation 4.

"The biggest change we've had in Uncharted 4 would be the use of the headcams and facial markings," actor Nolan North notes late in the clip, before a camera cuts to a shot of one such headcam being used to capture his facial movements. "For the first three games, this has always been hand-animated."
