Double the Arcade Fun with Woof Blaster and Shark Lake Fisherman

It’s not often a developer comes to us with two games to show off, but that’s exactly what Fabian Jarrett did when he emailed us about Woof Blaster and Shark Lake Fisherman .

. The former is a fast-paced action shooter currently in Steam Greenlight, while the latter is a free browser game.

In, available for $1.99 USD or more on Itch.io, players take control of a dog with a gun and jet boots. Why? Because he’s in search of all the pizza slices he can find. The only way to get these pizza slices is to destroy wave after wave of speedy enemies with a number of different weapons and power-ups. Another ability at gamers’ disposal is the fact that they can transform into different monsters, such as a rocket-shooting T-rex. As mentioned, Woof Blaster is awaiting votes on Steam Greenlight.

is an equally fast-paced browser game, and is free for those that fancy a spot of deadly fishing. It’s a simple premise, in which gamers navigate a fishing boat around a small lake. To fish, players must stop the boat and dunk their fishing rod into the water. Under the surface are sharks, as shown by their fins, and if they get too close, it’s game over. It’s risk-reward kind of gameplay, and everyone can try their luck here.

Jarrett was inspired after emailing Jonatan Söderström ( Hotline Miami ), asking for advice on how to make good prototypes. He was directed to one of Söderström’s favourite developers, Ikki, and decided to “make a fast arcade game that was completely different to what [he was] used to playing. [He] planned the game on half a sheet of A4 the night before, and basically made the whole game the day after.”

For more information on either of these games, or to keep up with Jarrett’s upcoming games – there’s a new arcade shooter that he’s almost ready to release – you can follow him on Twitter.
