What is the best way to play a racing game - joypad or wheel?

Is it stupid to sit in a pretend racing seat and turn a pretend steering wheel to control a pretend car? Yes, of course it is. I still do it, mind. I even spend hundreds of pounds to do it properly.Why? Becauseit's fun , especially when you're playing a game that's been designedwith it in mind, like Gran Turismo 5 .
