Monitors are a game-changer for many users, with resolution, lighting style, and the types of available ports creating a highly-customizable experience for those willing to look at the details.

Monitors are a game-changer for many users, with resolution, lighting style, and the types of available ports creating a highly-customizable experience for those willing to look at the details. Unfortunately, getting high-resolution monitors with a number of options can be cost-prohibitive, with some monitors running upwards of $600. Sceptre wants to offer a higher-quality monitor experience for a lower price, and have introduced the E275W-1920 for this purpose. An LED monitor with 1080p resolution (1920×1080), the E275W also offers HDMI DVI, and VGA input for a variety of purposes.

The monitor also has built-in speakers (a feature missing on a number of monitors due to the propensity toward headphone usage), which connect using the standard 3mm jack. There’s a Kensington lock to thwart theft for those who choose to use it, and with the proper hardware (VESA pattern), you can even mount the E275w to the wall to save space. Tilt for viewing adjustment, as well as rotation to view in portrait as well as landscape, offer alternatives for different purposes.

The Sceptre E275W-1920 is available at a large number of retailers, including Costco, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart; it is also available at Tiger Direct, Amazon, and Newegg for those who prefer to do their shopping online. At $219.99, it seems to be a pretty good deal for those wishing to get a larger monitor (either for themselves or as a gift) without breaking the bank.
