Double Fine Dates Grim Fandango Remastered, Announces Day Of the Tentacle Remaster

It seems as though the planets have aligned, and the pleading prayers of adventure fans have been answered: The remaster of the 1998 masterpiece, Grim Fandango , will be available on January 27th for the Playstation 4, PS Vita, as well as PC, Mac, and Linux.

Double Fine’s one and only, Tim Schaffer, made that announcement amongst many more that will surely make adventure fans weep with joy. The LucasArts’ classic Day of the Tentacle is also getting a special edition remaster coming to the Playstation 4 and PS Vita. And if that wasn’t enough, their modern adventure, Broken Age, will be making it’s way to Sony consoles upon the release of it’s second act sometime in early 2015

Until now, Grim Fandango has been virtually impossible to find legally – the retail disc has gone out of print and was never digitally released. Aside from an HD makeover, hi-res textures, remastered audio, and improved controls, Grim Fandango will have commentaries from writer/director Tim Schaffer, concept artist Peter Chan, and composer Peter McConnell.
