Mucho Party Puts The Party in Your Pocket
The folks at French developer GlobZ wanted to create “a local multiplayer game that would be fun for players of all ages and skill sets.” This month they released Mucho Party , a mobile game that prides itself on being just that.
Players can participate in their choice of 40 different local multiplayer party games. The first five come free with the download of the app; the others can be unlocked with a one-time purchase. Each player is represented by a bright, quirky avatar using his or her own selfie as they work to unlock more than fifty Game Center achievements. The games have six different play modes – mosaic, roulette, duel, tic-tac-toe, hotseat, and league – to keep the competition sharp.
Players who are lacking the party atmosphere can still play; the game includes three AI players (easy, medium, or hard) for each of the 40 games. A skill equalizer keeps things balanced and fair, meaning that parents can play with their kids The games all take place in “a lively, colorful world” where players will be tested for their reaction times, concentration, and puzzle-solving abilities.
Featuring 40 music tracks by renowned indie composer Whitaker Trebella, Mucho Party has already won several awards, including the Ping Award for Best French Mobile Game 2014. It’s available in 11 different languages and can be found in both the App Storeand the Google Play Store, as well as on Amazon. Players looking to unlock the full game can purchase the remaining thirty-five for $3.99 USD (€3.99, £2.49).
