Psychological Horror Lies Deep Beneath the Surface of Iron Fish
Developer Dean Edwards and his new partners at indie developer/publisher Beefjack are announced their newest project today, Iron Fish .
. Set for release sometime in 2015, Iron Fish represents a long running passion for Edwards who earned the support of Beefjack after presenting an impressive project in the making.
Iron Fish follows the journey of a deep sea investigator named Cerys as she explores the unknown at the bottom of the ocean. The psychological thriller challenges players to navigate through dark and foreign environments while surrounded by mysterious creatures, most of which have never seen the light of day. Cerys finds herself on an unexpected journey through her employment with an elite British Navel group. Outfitted with state of the art submersible equipment, Cerys comes face to face with the anomalies of the deep as well as her own past.
Players will spend much of the game exploring vast underwater environments, ranging from sunny coral reefs to pitch black abyssal plains. Lost ruins and unheard of creatures lie in wait for explorers, forcing players to rely on wit and stealth as they plunge further into the depths. Edwards very much looks forward to hearing gamer reactions and explained, “I have been eagerly waiting for the right time to show Iron Fish . This project combines my passion for games and my life-long love of horror films. After being captivated by documentaries like The Blue Planet and Natural World , I was really interested to explore the terrifying, but reverent quality that the deep can convey.”
