The Sims 4 cheats remove death, bestow wealth, and make your Sims as happy as Larry

Tom Marks has been having fun with a weird bug/cheat/oversight in The Sims 4 that allows players to scale objects to ridiculous sizes, but what other cheats are hiding in Maxis' game?

sizes, but what other cheats are hiding in Maxis' game? The folks at SimsGlobehave collected a few of the known codes so far, and if you've ever wanted to make your Sims immortal, give them a free rung on the property ladder, load their bank accounts with Simoleons or give them the power of teleportation, then you've come to the right place.

For the rest of this post, it might help to imagine that I'm the GamesMaster from, erm, GamesMaster (i.e. a big cyborg head played by Patrick Moore). To use these cheats you'll need to first open the cheat console by holding Ctrl + Shift + C, then input the following codes into the text field that pops up. (Thanks again to SimsGlobe for collecting these.)

"help" : Outputs all commands available to the player in the command console. "death.toggle" : Toggles the true/false value of death – when off, death is disabled and no sims will die. "freeRealEstate [on/off] ": Only available to enter when in neighborhood/world. When toggled on, home purchases are free. When toggled off, homes costs the usual amount. "fullscreen" : Toggles The Sims 4 fullscreen mode, on or off. "headlineEffects [on/off]" : Disables “headline” effects including plumbobs, thought balloons, etc. so as to not obscure the player's view. "kaching" : Adds 1000 Simoleons to the active household's funds. "motherlode" : Adds 50,000 Simoleons to the active household's funds. "resetSim [FirstName] [LastName]" : Resets the Sim named. "rosebud" : Adds 1000 Simoleons to the active household's funds. Pressing Shift + ] : Increases the size of the object selected.

OK, so fullscreen mode isn't exactly a cheat, but there's no real difference between a cheat menu and a debug menu, other than the name. By typing "testingCheats [true/false]" into the input field, you can also unlock some new Shift-Click menu options on Sims, objects, or the ground. With testingCheats active, you'll now be able to move Sims between families, fill up their needs and happiness bars, dirty or clean up objects, and teleport Sims anywhere you like, among a few other, less exciting options.

While we finish up our Sims 4 review, here's our first thirty or so minuteswith the game.
