‘Passing Time’ Coming To PlayStation Mobile
With the recent announcement of PlayStation Mobile at Gamescom this past week, it’s nice to see an indie developer already taking advantage of the service that is coming to Android.
Passing Time , developed by Honeyslug makers of Frobisher Says and Kahoots, is a new kind of soccer game. Or football game, depending on where you live.
Honeyslug is looking to bring simplicity back to soccer games. In Passing Time, all the players run by themselves. The user uses the touch screen to pass, shoot, tackle, make runs, and mark opponents. While it seems very simple compared to your everyday Fifa, Honeyslug insures that it is deeply strategic.
The game will come with 4 different modes – Passing Time, Challenge Mode, Friendly, and League. While we’re not sure what each mode entails, the trailer below also shows players kicking around a bomb and a ball on fire. Those are most likely part of Challenge Mode while we’re assuming that Passing Time is a regular game of soccer.
Overall the game looks like it could be pretty fun to play. I enjoyed playing old school soccer games back in the day, but find new ones too complicated. Hopefully Passing Time will appeal to many others like me.
Passing Time is set to come out this Autumn to PlayStation Mobile and Vita devices. If you’d like to follow Honeyslug you can do so by visiting their personal website. Be sure to check out the trailer and gallery below.
