Vancouver-based volunteer organization Full Indie have officially announced the date of their second game development conference, known as the “Full Indie Summit”: August 9-10. The goal of Full Indie Summit is to provide indie developers with a series of presentations and panels in order to inform, inspire, and motivate developers of all experience levels. Last year marked the first Full Indie Summit, and the event received a packed house of over 400 attendees and nearly a dozen featured speakers. For more details on the summit, and to buy early bird-priced tickets, check out the event’s official site.
Full Indie was started in Vancouver in 2010 by developers Jake Birkett and Alex Vostrov as an initiative to give indie developers a professional network to meet up, share their experiences, and support one another. The monthly event is free for anyone to sign up for, and almost always results in a full house. Last month’s Full Indie meetup saw a nearly doubled venue size and still managed to fill up; the huge success of the program in Vancouver helped pave the way for last year’s Full Indie Summit.
