ThinkGeek has partnered with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center to help put a stop to bullying.
has partnered with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center to help put a stop to bullying. During the month of October (which was declared “Bullying Prevention Month” by PACER), ThinkGeek is selling a keychain for $2.99 that will represent your stand against bullying to the world. ThinkGeek is donating %100 of the profits to PACER in efforts to spread awareness about bullying, and give proper resources to those who need it.
“We want everyone to know if they’re feeling bullied that there are resources and people they can turn to. Nobody has to do this alone,” states Steve Zimmerman, head of PR at ThinkGeek. The Anti-Bullying support keychain has a link to helpful anti-bullying resources as well, which can be purchased here.
Though bullying comes in all shapes and sizes, it’s no secret that it’s stereotypically associated with the “geeky.” Which makes ThinkGeek a great outlet to support a cause like this. As nerds and geeks alike, it’s safe to say we’ve all been a victim of bullying in one way or another, and it’s not fun. It’s time to take it more seriously and address the issue.
PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center has been fighting for social change since 2006. You can learn more about them on Facebookand Twitter.
