A Song for Viggo is a papercraft game about depression and guilt, telling the story of a parent who accidentally killed their child. A very stark game, IGM has previewed Viggo ‘s Kickstarter, and has interviewed the developer, Simon Karlsson. The Kickstarter has 5 days to go as of this article being written, and Karlsson has shared some new screenshots with us, as well as a gameplay video of the first activity in the game: Planning your child’s funeral.
A Song for Viggo is a remarkably important venture in gaming, with understanding of trauma and depression explored and examined from a perspective not often seen by others.
