– A new Gaming, Anime, & Music Convention could happen in Bremerton, WA, this July, with some financial backing. Blake Perdue is hoping to bring the city’s first 2-day geek con to Seattle later this summer. GAMCON promises several activities for attendees, such as chances to demo new projects, watch new anime productions, fun, competitive events, concerts, guest panels, and more. Cosplaying and sharing hobbies and lifestyles will be covered in this inclusive convention as well.

Pledging $10 guarantees a one-day preregistration and an exclusive badge, while $20 gets a pass for both days. Higher tiers reward with goodies such as t-shirts and gift bags, as well as exhibitor and vendor space. Since the convention is non-profit, the organizers won’t pocket any cash that goes over the goal. The majority of event costs go towards the venue, located on the Bremerton waterfront. The rest goes to paying guests, rewards, operations, and advertising.

The goal of the Kickstarter campaignis set at $8,000. Presently, it stands at $3,570 thanks to 51 backers, with 14 days left to go. Should the goal not be met, pledge funds will be returned in-full, since they are only charged at the end of the campaign. Check out the Kickstarter page for more information.
