Don’t Drop That! – Minimalist Arcade Game Released

Gripati Digital Entertainment recently published Don’t Drop That!

, a game developed and programmed by Abdullah Söylemez. The game was released to the App Store for iOS devices, and the dev is working on an Android version to follow.

Don’t Drop That! is a skill-based game that promises challenging and unforgiving gameplay. Random shapes start to drop into the magma pool bubbling below, rising towards the player controlling the ultimate stick. The player must use the stick to catch these random shapes and hold on to them long enough to disintegrate and add points to the player’s score. Apparently, it’s to save all of humanity.

Shapes that eventually drop into the magma pool will add its mass to it, making it grow closer to the stick, and a Game Over. The game provides no limits to gameplay, such as energy or timers. Players can test their skills for as long as they want, while listening to the dubsteb soundtrack in the background and competing against other players globally for the high score.
