You are an Old One – an extremely powerful god-like-demon that has been sealed away from the world for generations. Upon awakening, you are weak, and must stay hidden in order to reign corruption and chaos into the world again. You’ll recruit agents, people of the world who will aid your commands while you stay hidden. These agents can be kings and heroes, who oversee armies and minions. Each agent you choose has unique skill traits, which add for interesting strategies.

With every choice you make, be it spreading a plague or infiltrating a kingdom, the world will be customized entirely on your choices. With only limited agents to use at a time, you are forced to make difficult decisions that will have stark outcomes. The choices you make with agents can have an affect on their fame and how the world sees them, which can be bad for the player if the world finds out the Old One has arisen, leading heroes to seek out and destroy it.

That Which Sleeps is a dense, meticulously designed game, with an elaborate and rich focus on lore, strategy, and the world itself. Developers King Dinosaur Games are looking to raise $12,000 on Kickstarter.
