, the sci-fi tactical game that’s already updated quite a number of times during its Early Access residence, has added content for single players and co-op campaigns, alike. A new single-player extension will have players stealthily take over Starcrown Aerospace to retrieve necessary research data. In addition, five new challenge-style co-op maps require tactical planning among teammates as they confront unscripted AI to succeed. This is the latest of 16 total updates since the game’s Alpha launch in July 2013.
This update continues the work Zero Point Software has been doing since 2004, when they came together for the sole purpose of creating Interstellar Marines . Having often had the game compared to the Rainbow Six series, the developers are proud of their creation, which has been built using the Unity engine. Their ultimate goal is to have an FPS with stealth and tactical elements that not only has pre-set map challenges, but also has a potential non-linear story. While this isn’t a new element, it’s one that can often be missing from some modern shooters.
