Sock Monkey Ninja – Run, Jump, and Get the Highest Score

Kazrog, known primarily for developing audio software tools, released a game for iOS devices called Sock Monkey Ninja .

. A 16-bit platformer inspired by Amiga titles, Sock Monkey Ninja is Kazrog’s first release.

The platformer is a simple tap-to-jump, constant running game that offers easy and addictive gameplay. Players must tap the screen to jump and double jump in order to hop through three layers of platforms. Strewn throughout the infinite course are several silver and gold orbs that provide points as long as the player can reach them. The longer the player is able to survive, the more points they can earn. Players can also share their highscores on Twitter and Facebook.

Sock Monkey Ninja has a slow, synthesized soundtrack to immerse players into a strange and barren world. A simple background of black ocean and rocky mountains pass by continuously with an ominous red and grey sky behind them. There isn’t any story within the game itself, but it does catch the eye and serve as a proper background as the player’s monkey ninja runs and hops from platform to platform almost non-stop.

Sock Monkey Ninja is currently available here, on the Apple store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices to download for free. Players can purchase the ad-free version for $0.99 through an in-app purchase.
