Fight Disease in Systematic Immunity’s New Demo

Irish developer Felix Wunderlich invites Windows gamers to try a ‘fantastic voyage’ of their own in his upcoming project, Systematic Immunity .

. The game, the second from solo developer Wunderlich, is a precision platformer taking place inside of a sick individual’s body. The player takes control of the white blood cells, who are hard at work fighting off an infection being spread by one very determined germ. These white blood cells are generated in groups of twenty, and the player controls the “leader cell.” All the other white blood cells follow the actions of the leader cell, and the player must make them travel through assorted parts of the body.

The game consists of more than 75 levels across three specific organs – the stomach, the lungs, and the brain. In each level, the treacherous germ causing all the mayhem produces fifteen smaller copies of itself; it’s the task of the white blood cells to eradicate these copies, to prevent the infection from spreading. As the game progresses, the player will encounter secret levels, boss fights, and special unlockable characters. There are also collectibles in each level, which are used to unlock interesting facts, and a level editor which allows the player to add their own unique flair to the adventure.

Systematic Immunity is expected to fully launch in Q1 2016. At present, Wunderlich is offering a free demo on his website, which includes the first 20 levels of the game; it is currently only available to Windows gamers, though he notes that Mac and Linux versions are in the works. Interested players are invited to give the game an up-vote on Steam Greenlightas well.
