There’s Nothing Plain About These ‘Pocket Planes’
Pocket Planes is the newest game created by Nimblebit , the company responsible for the hit games Pocket Frog and Tiny Tower .
You’re probably asking yourself: why would I want to play a game about being accosted by TSA agents and losing my luggage? Luckily, you don’t have to deal with any of that! Pocket Planes puts you in charge of a fleet of planes as you unlock countless airplanes to fly. The goal of the game is to deliver people and cargo to the over two-hundred cities Pocket Planes offers. As you do this, you can unlock new airplanes to fly, and various outfits for your pilots. As if that wasn’t enough, you can customize your planes to have their own paint jobs, making your planes stand out among your friends’ planes. One thing, this game has no relation to spreading a disease, so you can steer clear from wiping humanity ( referring to Plague Inc.) .
Speaking of friends, Pocket Planes has a global leaderboard! You can check out how you compare to other pilots from around the globe and if you’re not the competitive type, you can also trade parts with your friends to upgrade your planes. It pays to have friends!
If the trailer has you interested, you can pick it up on the App Store for your iOS device or the Android Marketplace (coming out June 14th, 2012). One minor detail: Pocket Planes is free. That’s right – free! So there’s absolutely no reason not to try this game (when it arrives on the market)! Fly on, fellow pilots!
