Video: How to make your game just completely hilarious

Making people laugh is tricky business, even when it's just you at a party with a handful of friends.

Making people laugh while playing a video game you're designing with a team of other people seems nigh-impossible, especially if you're making that game to (hopefully) be played by millions of people.

Despite those odds, The Stanley Parable is a game that was played by millions of people and did somehow manage to be funny. At GDC 2015 one of the people who made it happen, William Pugh, took the stage to deliver a talk on "how to make your game just completely hilarious" that was both amusing and remarkably adept at breaking down what it takes to make a comedy game.

If you missed it in person, you can now watch Pugh's 30-minute presentation for free over on the GDC Vault's new YouTube channel .
