Players take on the role of a kidnapping victim who awakens alone and cold in a two hundred year-old manor, which they then must traverse through in an attempt to escape. The developers are aiming to create primarily psychological-based horrors. As the player moves throughout the manor and progresses through the story, the landscape of the world changes to banish away confidence and instill a feeling of being lost. Kidnapped is being designed to unnerve the player at any given chance, as they attempt to solve the mystery of their captivity and escape from the nightmare they have awoken in.
