‘Munin’ Prepares to Send Players to Valhalla
As usual, when something goes wrong in the world of the ancient Vikings, it is entirely Loki’s fault.
In Munin , the upcoming 2D puzzle platformer, the player assumes the role of the title character, a raven who is one of Odin’s two loyal messengers. Loki, the god of mischief, decides to have a little fun and transforms the unfortunate Munin into a little girl. Understandably annoyed, Munin must then undertake a journey through the nine worlds of Yggdrasil to recover his lost feathers, which are key to regaining his true shape.
Munin is the first game developed by Portuguese studio Gojira, and is published by German developer Daedalic Entertainment. With 77 different puzzle levels, Munin promises roughly seven hours of gameplay. Brain teasers are interwoven with Norse mythology, just as classic side-scrolling action is interwoven with perspective magic. All the screen elements can be rotated 360 degrees, and the player must find innovative ways to interact with the landscape in order to progress.
Munin is releasing on PC, Mac, and Linux just in time for E3 on June 10th, and will be available for both Android and iOS devices on July 7th. Follow Daedalic Entertainment on Twitterand Facebookfor more official announcements related to this and future games.
