Ratalaika Games Takes Guardians of the Forest to Kickstarter
Ratalaika Games SL recently brought their multiplayer brawler Guardians of the Forest to Kickstarter.
to Kickstarter. The game features humble graphics, frenetic gameplay, animal characters, and violent combat. At first glance, Guardians of the Forest seems similar to brawlers like Super Smash Bros. , up until a rabbit picks up a claymore and starts fighting like there’s a war on.
The game is also set to include highly customizable characters that can do battle in over 40 strategically unique battlegrounds. Players will also have the opportunity to choose from 15+ game modes throughout single player and multiplayer. Character battles turn into mayhem quickly, with strikes leaving animated blood splatters along the ground, and random weapons and armor appearing throughout the level. Players can expect online multiplayer, and parents should take note there will be a child-friendly option to remove the blood splatters and gore.
Guardians of the Forest ’s Kickstarter campaignseeks to reach a goal of $3,500 by June 7th. With this goal, the team promises to provide an Early Access copy of the game on Steam for Mac, Windows, and Linux desktops. Version 1.0 of the game will be then be released on PS4 and OUYA on top of the current platforms. Wii U and Xbox One platforms are an option for the team as well, but only so long as they reach their $5,000 stretch goal.
