‘Ghost Of A Tale’ Gets New Website And Developer Update
This past May, we interviewed Ghost of a Tale developer, Lionel Gallat, about his stunning-looking mouse adventure game.

developer, Lionel Gallat, about his stunning-looking mouse adventure game. Gallat had previously served as the animation director for Hollywood blockbusters like Despicable Me and The Lorax , before leaving Hollywood for the game industry . Even as his first foray into game design, Ghost of a Tale speaks volumes for Gallat’s ability and dedication to seeing his vision become a reality. One look at the Alpha trailer, and anyone can see why backers paid nearly $65,000to see the game fully developed.

Since the IndieGoGo campaign ended, Gallat had an official Ghost of a Tale websitecreated which will serve as a hub for his development progress, and as the home for the community forums where the campaign backers (and anyone else) can voice their opinions about the game’s creation. More recently, Gallat postedabout Ghost of a Tale’s development progress, and provided fans with some juicy bits of information.

“I’m happy to report that the game is making great progress,” Gallat says in the update. “Gamepad support has been fully implemented. I never thought I would one day utter those words, but I actually prefer using the gamepad to test the game now.” Gallat also brings up the character awareness system that he is implementing into the game. “…if you run about and the mouse notices something he’s going to turn his attention to it. In other words his body language will clue you in about interesting features you might have missed.”

Among the other updates Gallat announced that the animation has been further tweaked for collision detection, sneak mode has begun to be implemented, dynamic clothing and foliage have been worked into the game, and fancy new fur upgrades were added. The image below was included with the update post, to show off just how nice those new fur textures look.
