Explore the Imagination in Niko: Through the Dream

is aiming to grab the player’s attention through a well-developed story and solid visuals. Beyond that, the Spanish team at Studio Paint wants to go one step further and develop a game where players interpret the story and settings in their own way, letting them become an indirect part of the plot construction as the real story unfolds.
Niko: Through the Dream is presented as a first-person adventure depicting the journey of Niko, a girl returning to her home. Along the way she visits floating islands that are oneiric representations of past events in her life, and must solve puzzles and riddles while avoiding traps and obstacles to move on to another island. They’re mostly represented in white, which allows the player to mentally paint them according to the mood and sounds of each island.
Players will face distinct but direct mechanics on the islands during the journey, and the devs are striving to make each of them unique. The variety of gameplay includes stealth, platforming, and puzzles that vary from audio memory to physics and lights. The music will also be an important element of the game, as it will set the mood with a range of tones.
If all goes well, more than eighteen worlds will be available when Niko: Through the Dream releases on June 26 for PC only. The game will be launched on Steamat a price point of $9.99. Those interested in more information can visit the game’s official websiteto find out more.
