Keep Them Up – A Game About Not Letting Balls Drop
Designed as a party game by the solo dev at Blank Brain Games, Keep Them Up involves an inflated balloon and one rule: Don’t let it hit the ground.
involves an inflated balloon and one rule: Don’t let it hit the ground. It’s a mobile arcade game that requires fast reflexes and advanced planning, merged with a pinball style alongside a few extra tricks and challenges.
Players begin by trying to keep one ball from falling into the abyss. There are platforms on the side of the screen that propel the balls into the air, keeping them active longer (if they roll off of a platform, well, there’s not much to be done about that, is there?), and players are tasked with placing lines in the space between these platforms, allowing the balls to bounce so that the game can continue. As the gameplay progresses, more balls are released, upping the challenge of the touch-physics game. Smaller balls move more quickly and bounce higher, while larger ones stay lower and aren’t as springy. Grabbing power-ups increases rewards, which become more valuable the more balls are in play.
Keep Them Up is free on Google Play, and doesn’t have in-app purchases, so players can get the full experience without any roadblocks. It was developed by a Uni student from Australia named Lee, and is the first Android release for Blank Brain Games.
