Travel through Gaming’s Timeline in BiT Evolution

Games can work like time machines, and that’s not really news to anyone. When developers make retro games, they can take players back in time, sometimes even to times before they were born. Now, Major Games Inc wants to take players through a section of the gaming timeline, instead of one fixed point. In their new game, BiT Evolution , the developers will blend games from the 70’s through to the 90’s.

In BiT Evolution , players will take the role of BiT, a puck from a Pong-like game that frees itself from the paddles and starts exploring new worlds in a platform adventure. These worlds are inspired by classic games from consoles like Atari, NES, SNES, Sega Saturn, and Gameboy. The puck-hero starts gaining a shape as the eras and stages move forward, going from a round, pixelated shape to a humanoid character that somewhat resembles Mega Man.

As a character travelling through video games history, BiT is susceptible to the glitches and bugs that existed in the early eras. If he dies, he will be transported to the Realm of Code, filled with such glitches and new challenges that must be overcome through puzzle-solving and exploration.

BiT Evolution will be released for PC and Mac on June 9th after less than five months of Early Access on Steam. The game will be sold at a price point of $9.99. For further information, visit the game’s official website.
