Plague Inc Gets ‘Mega’ Update, Releases on Steam

The massive mobile hit Plague Inc .

. is still going strong two years later with its eighth major update out now for iOS, and coming soon for Android. The new update brings four new, challenging scenarios, a “mega-brutal” difficulty mode, as well as three new cheats. Mega-brutal will thwart players’ plots to infect the world with random medical checks, “genetic drift,” and research tech improvements. The cheats include: Shuffle Strain, which mixes all evolutions up; Turbo Strain, which causes the initial country to be infected 100%; and Lucky Dip Strain, which allows players to start with five random evolutions. On top of the new options, cheats can now be stacked and used in any mode. You can see the full changelog here.

Last month, Plague Inc. Evolved hit Steam Early Access, offering players a new way to play the addicting strategy/simulation. PC fidelity graphics, content creator, and a multiplayer mode are just some of the highlights of the Steam release.
